In November 2008 I attended the new Nordic technical directors’ forum in Copenhagen, which was professionally hosted by Irene Sparre from A-Film. I’m not really a technical guy myself, but it was great to get an insight to the more technical sides of studios like MPC, Framestore, Disney, Pixar and so on. I especially found DP Danielle Feinberg’s talk on Wall-E very interesting. I also got to do a presentation of the Kurt designs together with fellow artist Are Austnes. The forum, which is now an annual thing, will be held in Helsinki November 20.-21. this year.
World Beside

The online game World Beside has also been moving forward. I’ve written and directed two animated teasers. Right now the tech people are stengthening the engine and platform, and there’s not much artwork being made. Maybe I’ll get back on it later.
